Use Spec Text to select products and, using an email template, send a nicely formatted specification with file attachments to the specifier.
Start Spec Text by pressing the Spec Inquiry button, which can appear on the Project, Contact, or Participant object.
Steps to send a Spec Inquiry email
- Select the Language.
- Select the recipient.
- If needed, select the BCC.
- If needed, select the CC.
- Select the Products. Only products with file attachments or Spec Text records are selectable.
- Select the Folder.
- Select the Email template folder and the Email template.
- Select the products you wish to send.
- The email Subject and Body render automatically once the Email template is selected — the formatted Spec Text of each selected product is embedded into the email automatically.
- Review the list of file attachments, automatically added based on the selected products — you can manually deselect any of them if needed.
You can also define a fallback language, used whenever there’s no Spec Text available for the language you selected.
