Filter Possible Duplicates Based on Picklist Fields
Baucore’s participant duplicate check blocks creating a second Beteiligte__c record with the same Role + Account/Contact/Lead + Project combination. On its own, that’s often too coarse — two records that differ only in an unrelated picklist field (for example a custom classification field) still get treated as the same participant. The Picklist Filter narrows the comparison to only the picklist values you choose.
What it does
- Applies during duplicate detection in the Project Match / Project Check duplicate-detection template.
- Lets you choose which picklist fields participate in the duplicate comparison.
- Always excludes
Status__c— a participant’s Won/Lost/Won-for-competitor status never counts toward whether two records are “the same” participant.
Configure it
- Open the matching template used by Project Check / BC Project Match (Baucore Setup → Project Creation).
- Under the duplicate-detection section, select Picklist Filter.
- Choose the picklist field(s) that should narrow the comparison.
- Save. The next duplicate check run only treats two participants as duplicates if they also match on the selected picklist value(s), in addition to Role + Account/Contact/Lead + Project.
This setting only narrows detection — it doesn’t relax the underlying uniqueness rule (Role + Account/Contact/Lead + Project). If you need to bulk-load participants that legitimately collide with that rule, use Baucore Setup → Participant Management → Bypass participant duplicated check instead, and turn it back off once the load is done.
