Project Matching
Baucore checks for duplicate or related Projects everywhere a new one might be created — from the New Project flow, from a Lead or Opportunity, and from Baucore Inbox. This page is the overview of that feature area; the setup detail lives on the pages below.
The three building blocks
| Piece | What it does | Where it shows up |
|---|---|---|
| BC Project Match component | Manual search-and-link component for Lead/Opportunity record pages | Lead record page, Opportunity record page, custom objects |
Project Check flow (projectCheck) | Screen-flow duplicate check inside the New Project wizard — shows “Possible Projects” and “Open Projects of Participants” | Any “Create New Project” quick action, Baucore Inbox |
| AI Project Match | Optional AI scoring layer that ranks candidate matches with an explanation instead of a raw similarity score | Same surfaces as above, once enabled |
How a match is scored
Matching runs on three signals together: project name similarity, geolocation radius (configurable in Baucore Settings), and participant overlap across Accounts, Contacts, and Leads. Each candidate gets a 0–100% score. When AI Project Match is turned on (Baucore Setup → Baucore Agents → Baucore Project Match), the same candidates are re-ranked with an AI-generated explanation for each score.
Cutting down noise: two filters
Two settings narrow what shows up as a “possible match” so reps aren’t shown irrelevant records:
- Filter matching records based on Record Type — restricts “Possible Projects” and “Open Projects of Participants” to records sharing the current record’s record type.
- Filter possible duplicates based on picklist fields — restricts duplicate detection to the picklist values chosen on the matching template.
Both are configured in Baucore Setup → Project Creation.
