Set Up Project Status and Recommendations

This article covers how to adapt Baucore to monitor the right indicators for each of your Project Phases. There are two main parts:

• Project Status — displays various issues with a Green, Yellow, or Red indicator.
• Recommendation Action — shows a recommendation for the issue, and lets the user click it to automatically reveal the field that needs updating.

Project Status Settings

In Project Status Setting records, you set up the automated check of Projects based on field values on the Project record. The result of the check generates issues, shown as Green, Yellow, or Red. Issues are assigned to a Topic, which groups them logically. Each issue can also show a recommendation describing what the sales rep should do about it.

1. Open Baucore Admin from the App Launcher.
2. Select the Project Status Settings tab.
3. Create a new record, or open an existing one.
4. A Project Status Setting is created for each Project Phase.
5. Define and select the Issue and its corresponding Topic as picklist values.
6. Optionally define and select the Recommendation as a picklist value.
7. Set the API Field Name and the Operator to validate, to determine when the issue turns Yellow or Red. The default setting shows the issue as Green.

To validate more complex logic, use a formula field for Baucore to check instead. If you need a time-based check — for example, 5 days before the submission date — remember to activate the automation described in Automate Project Status Check.

Recommendation Actions

Recommendation Actions display the field relevant to a particular issue when clicked.

1. Open Baucore Admin from the App Launcher.
2. Select the Recommendation Actions tab.
3. Create a new record, or open an existing one.
4. Select the corresponding Recommendation for which the field should be shown.
5. Enter the API Field Name to show when the user clicks on the recommendation.

Recommendations with this click-to-reveal functionality show a blue circle after the recommendation text.

Picklist value sets to translate

Baucore uses picklists to show Topic, Issue, and Recommendation, so values can be translated to each user’s language. Adapt these picklist value sets under Setup → Picklist Value Sets:
