Enable External Pricing Engine for Quotes

Baucore can be configured to integrate an existing pricing engine into the Project Quote process. The pricing engine can be implemented within Salesforce, or in an external application. Setting Individual Account Pricing to true in Baucore Settings runs an additional pricing logic step when the Inquiry to Quote flow executes.

Implement the pricing interface

Create an Apex class that implements the ProjectQuotePricingInterface interface, with this method:

List<Project_Quote_Line__c> UpdatePrice(Project_Quote__c quote, List<Project_Quote_Line__c> quotelines);

The quote and quotelines values can be used to calculate prices directly in Apex, or to send them to an external web service. The result of the calculation can be used to modify the quote lines — for example, Minimum List Unit Price L1, Net Unit Price, and so on.

Register the plugin

  1. Go to Setup → Custom Metadata Types → Baucore Settings → Manage Records.
  2. Edit Project Quote Pricing Plugin and put the Apex class name in the Value field.

Activate individual account pricing

  1. Go to Setup → Custom Metadata Types → Baucore Settings → Manage Records.
  2. Edit Individual Account Pricing and set the value to true.
