Setup Project Quote and BOQ Fields
Configuring fields in Project Quote / BOQ
To insert a new field on Project Quote Line or BOQ Calculation, open the Object Manager for the object you want to adjust (Project Quote Line or BOQ Calculation), go to Field Sets, and choose between the Calculation and Calculation Hidden field sets.
Depending on which one you choose, you can edit the fields that show by default, or those that appear only under Show more. From there you can add new fields or change the display order of existing ones.
For the system to pick up these field sets — including a new field set you create — you have to register it in Setup → Custom Metadata Types → Baucore Settings, under one of:
- BOQ Calc field set
- BOQ Calc Hidden field set
- Quote Field Set
- Quote Hidden Field Set
Enter the API name of your field set as the Value.
Search fields in BOQ
Most orgs need additional or different search fields when adding a Product to a BOQ Calculation or Project Quote Line. Adapt the fields used for that product search in Setup → Custom Metadata Types → Baucore Settings → BOQ Quote Product Search fields.
Hiding fields
Fields can also be hidden entirely. Create a record in Custom Metadata Types → Baucore Settings:
- Use the key
hide_qpos_fieldto hide a field in the quote (offer) mask. - Use the key
hide_boq_calcto hide a field in the BOQ mask.
The field to hide is set as the record’s Value. Supported values are:
