Use Project Status and Recommendations to ensure high efficiency

Conceptuser

Baucore uses Red, Yellow, and Green color indicators to show whether an action is needed. The Project Status and Recommendation component on the Project record helps sales reps understand which topics need their attention and what actions to take.

How the overall status is calculated

  • If any individual Project Status indicator is Red, the overall Project Status field shows Red.
  • If any indicator is Yellow (and none are Red), the overall Project Status field shows Yellow.
  • If everything is Green, the overall Project Status field shows Green too.

Indicators change by Project Phase

The indicators tracked by Project Status can vary between Project Phases. So a status that’s currently Green can suddenly turn Red when the project moves to the next phase and one of that phase’s expected indicators is missing.

For example, in the Design phase it’s not necessary to have a Tender Date — but as soon as the project reaches the Design Planning phase, the Tender Date becomes urgent, so the sales rep can take the right action at the right time.

Acting on a recommendation

To help sales reps understand what action turns an indicator back to Green, a user-friendly recommendation is shown when the indicator is clicked. If the recommendation has a blue circle at the end of its text, clicking it opens the key field directly, so the rep can update it and bring the indicator back on track.

This helps onboard junior sales reps toward winning projects, and helps senior sales reps monitor their projects automatically.
