Upgrade the baucore Managed Package
The Baucore development team invests heavily in both new features and bug fixes — keeping your Baucore version up to date is worth doing regularly.
Always install a new version on a sandbox first. Best practice is to use a Full Copy or Partial Copy sandbox, so processes can be directly tested before the upgrade reaches production.
Step-by-step upgrade
- Click the installation link for the new version.
- Select Install for Admins Only.
- If a message indicates the installation is taking longer than expected, click Done — you’ll receive an email notification once it completes.
Before you upgrade, verify
- The Decision value on the
Bauobjekt_Phase(Project Phase) picklist has not been disabled or deleted. - The reports and dashboards in the Baucore folder haven’t been renamed or deleted.
After you upgrade
Baucore’s post-install logic re-runs a subset of setup steps automatically depending on which version you’re upgrading from — re-applying defaults for settings like ClosedStatus and the Contractor Recommendation flow name, and re-syncing labels to setting records on older upgrades. If something looks off after an upgrade (a setting reverted, a trigger not firing), check the Baucore Setup Page and the Troubleshooting section before assuming it’s a bug.
