Configure Quote Line Editor

Use this article for admin and page-builder setup of the Quote Line Editor. In Lightning App Builder the component is listed as BC - Quote Editor v2. It can be placed on Project Quote and BOQ record pages.

Add the component

1. Open Lightning App Builder for the Project Quote or BOQ record page.
2. Drag the BC - Quote Editor v2 component onto the page.
3. Set a stable Editor ID (required for the editor to render, and to scope saved column widths).
4. Configure field sets and behavior, then save and activate.

Field sets

• Project quote position FieldSet View (STD) and (BC) — line-item columns for standard vs. Baucore products.
• BoQ Calculation FieldSet — columns used on BOQ pages.
• Group FieldSet View and BoQ Line (Group) FieldSet View — columns shown on group header rows when grouping is enabled.

Lookup sources and products

• Lookup Quotes / Lookup BoQs — enable copying from other quotes or BOQs, with optional SOQL filters to scope the suggestions.

• Lookup Salesforce Products / Lookup Baucore Products — enable only the product sources users should see.

• Copy Fields (JSON) — defines which fields are copied when a lookup source is selected. The value is a JSON array of objects. Each object sets a targetField (the field written on the position) and a sourceField array of candidate source paths. Each path uses the form ObjectApiName.FieldApiName, and the array order is the search priority (the first matching, non-blank source wins). The source objects map to the enabled lookup toggles: ibsbaucore__Project_Quote_Position__c (Lookup Quotes), ibsbaucore__BOQ_Line__c (Lookup BoQs), Product2 (Lookup Salesforce Products), and the Baucore product object (Lookup Baucore Products). Optional keys: searchable (enable type-ahead lookup on the cell), dependentFields (row field API names that narrow the suggestions), and secondaryDisplayFields (an object keyed by source object that adds a secondary value to each suggestion).

  Long text area and rich text fields cannot be used as source fields. Suggestions are matched with a SOQL LIKE filter, which Salesforce does not allow on long text areas. Use short text, picklist, number, or reference fields instead.

• Copy Button Hidden Field — when enabled, copying a position performs a server-side clone so that fields not shown in the grid are also copied from the source record.

Grouping

• Enable Grouping — turn on group headers and one parent-child level.
• Move Positions Only Within Same Group — restrict drag-and-drop to within a group.

Import and selection

• Enable Import Function — shows the Import action in More Actions.
• Show Line Item Selection Checkboxes — enables row selection.
• Selected Items Flow API Name / Button Label — the Screen Flow launched with the selected row IDs.
• Allow Selected Items Flow in Read Only Mode — permits the Flow even when the editor is read-only.

Behavior and layout

• Read Only (Block Changes) — review without editing.
• Expand Textarea Fields (No Scroll) — show full text-area content.
• Filter Fields (CSV API Names) — fields exposed in the grid filter.
• Field Width Settings (JSON) and Editor ID — default and per-instance column widths.
• Reset Column Width (in More Actions) — clears the saved column widths for the current Editor ID and restores the defaults.
• Imported Row Lock Condition — mini-condition (AND with = / !=) that locks rows after import, for example ibsbaucore__Source_Data__c = 'Import'.
